Following his trip to Lebanon, Velayati arrived in Damascus on Sunday and is scheduled to hold talks with the Syrian foreign minister and prime minister as well as visiting some areas in the country.
During his visit to Lebanon which kicked off on last Thursday, Velayati held talks with President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Foreign Minister Gibran Basil and Secretary General of Lebanon Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah. He also attended the meeting of Islamic Resistance Ulema Union on Palestine and hold talks with senior Lebanese officials.
